The company says that “each piece of Lee Reed’s work is a unique piece of art that is produced in a controlled environment.” By creating his art in a controlled environment, Lee Reed seems to be hoping that we can somehow replicate the process in our own home. This seems to be the ultimate attempt to turn art into technology.
Well, we don’t want to go there, so I have to say that Lee Reed seems to have fallen into one of those things that seems to have people pretty stumped. The company is making a big deal about how these pieces are able to be produced in a controlled environment. I wish I could claim that the ink is wet and ready to go but I can’t.
I think the biggest question is not how these pieces of art will be produced, but how you can recreate the process in your own home. Not only do we not want to go there, we don’t want to replicate the process ourselves either. This seems to be the ultimate attempt to turn art into technology. The question is not how to replicate it, but how to create it. And as a developer, I just don’t know the answer to that question.
There are a lot of ideas that I could bring up as to how you could create a replica of a traditional engraving process. I think one of the most obvious ways would be to have an electric engraving machine and a wooden block on which the ink would be poured. The electric machine would power a wooden cylinder which would drive the ink into the block. The result would be a piece of art that looks as authentic as any traditional engraving.
I’ve personally never done anything quite like it. It’s almost like you’re trying to paint a cartoon of a cartoon character in the middle of the night. You stick one in your hand, and you’re given a small piece of paper and a pen. You want the cartoon to look like the real thing. You stick it in the pen. You have to leave the pen out because it would be quite hard to get the cartoon to look real.
I think this is one of the ways to do it. You can use the same process you used to make the original drawing in the first place, and just stick in some additional details. Or, you can take a piece of paper and do a little bit of photoshoping. That would take some of the effort out of it, but it would also make the piece a lot more authentic.
I think the real trick is to make sure that the cartoon still looks like the actual cartoon you’ve been trying to make. You don’t want the cartoon to look like the original, but you need to give it a little “give” that the original didn’t have. I can’t think of any cartoon that has ever looked this authentic. If you’re trying to replicate the look of the original cartoon, you need to make sure that the cartoon itself is as close as possible to the original.
